Industries and Commerce Minister TG Bharath asked the party leaders to work to solve people’s problems. Mr. Bharath was addressing the party leaders during the oath-taking ceremony of members of the newly appointed Kurnool Assembly constituency, co-cluster, unit, ward and booth committee on Sunday.
The minister asked the party cadre to identify the problems concerning the general public and solve them. Mr. Bharath said he entered politics to develop Kurnool, adding that since the NDA government came to power, the district has made rapid progress in development.
Mr. Bharath claimed that only leaders of good repute would get recognition and the party would give tickets to contest the upcoming local body elections to those who rank well in the polls conducted by the party. “Based on the poll results, I have been given a party ticket to contest as an MLA in the 2024 elections,” he said.
“I am identifying three major problems in each ward of the Kurnool Municipal Corporation and will solve them. As promised by TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh before the elections, we have handed over land to the residents of Gudem Kottala in Kurnool. We are also preparing plans to develop camp areas A, B and C in the city,” he said.
Mr. Bharath said that a High Court bench and collectorate would be constructed in A, B and C camp area. He alleged that some people with vested interests were resorting to malicious propaganda against him and warned of legal action against such people. He asked party leaders to use social media to promote government programs and achievements.
The minister also said that Anantapur-Kurnool would be developed as an industrial corridor.
