The two -day conference on “India as one linguistic area: interdisciplinary perspective” began on Friday at the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL).
This was joined by important administrators and important scientists for sharp discussions on language, linguistics and its context with biological science, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy and others.
The conference was practically opened by the State Minister of Education Sukanta Majumdar. Sanjeev Sanyal, a member of the Economic Advisory Board of the Prime Minister, practically participated in the event and delivered the main speech.
Nivedita Bhide, the whole Indian vice president of Vivekanand Rock Memorial and Vivekanand Kendra, Kanyakumari, was an honorary guest and chaired the program Shailendra Mohan, director of Ciil. Pankaj dwivedi, a lecturer for research, Ciil, welcomed guests.
Language and intellectual heritage
In his inauguration address Dr. Majumdar said that Bharat is unique among ancient civilizations in the world and has a rich heritage in various areas such as art, dance, dance, architecture, philosophy and literature, whose deep heritage significantly influenced languages in these cultural s cannons.
Emphasis on the traditional and cultural ethos of the country and said that Bharat is the only cultural area with a versatile, complex tapestry woven from countless fibers, each of which represents different aspects of life – spiritual, social, economic or political, even deeper layers of interconnection.
The Minister also stated that despite a large number of languages in which Indian literature is written, they combine these literary traditions together in a deep unity and create a common language and intellectual heritage.
Sanjeev Sanyal, in his main speech, practically delivered, emphasized the Indian deep civilization unity of India, exceeding language and regional diversity. He followed the concept of Bharata to Rig Veda and stressed how India developed by the unification of various traditions in the normal cultural framework.
He referred to texts such as Mahabharat, Puranas and Sangam Literature, claiming that this integrative civilization operating system still defines India.
Respecting diversity
Bhide Nivedita appreciated Ciil for organizing the conference to combine scholars from different fields. She said that we communicate our thoughts and thoughts come from the perspective of the world – as we see the world.
She believed that the external appearance of languages could vary, but their inner core is the same, and therefore we respect each other. She also mentioned the vision of the Unity of Swami Vivekananda.
Director Ciil Shailendra Mohan presented his presidential remarks. The two -day conference contains six academic sessions, 20 invited interviews from various central and state universities and research institutions across the country.
It was also organized by the cultural event by the community of Toda. Over the next two days, the lecturer will present their interviews on their relevant topics.
