
The enforcement directorate attached movable and immovable property worth ₹7.93 crore belonging to Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Urvashi Rautela, Sona Sood, former TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty, Bengali actor Ankush Hazra and Neha Sharma under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002 in connection with its ongoing investigation into the illegal betting platform.1xBet.
The money laundering case linked to the “illegal” betting app is estimated to be worth more than ₹1,000 crore, official sources told news agency PTI.
How much are individual assets valued at?
Property valued at ₹7.93 crore includes approx ₹1 crore Sood, ₹59 lakhs by Chakraborty, ₹2.5 million to Yuvraj Singh, ₹1.26 crore by Sharma, ₹8.26 lakh Uthappa, ₹47 lakhs Hazra a ₹2.02 million to Rautela’s mother, according to sources.
According to news wire PTI, all the celebrities were questioned by ED in the past and the assets were categorized as “proceeds of crime” (illegal money under PMLA) of an alleged illegal betting application called 1xbet registered in Curacao.
The agency recently attached property worth ₹11.14 crore to former cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina as part of this investigation.
