The State Electrical Council (KSEB) has completed three candidates to perform studies of “technical feasibility and commercial viability” by establishing energy storage systems (BESS) in the State. The KSEB Council was decided by the Empanel DNV MES India PVT LTD, Tata Consulting Engineers LTD and Deloitte Touch Tohmatsu India LLP through the order of 23 September 2025.
Financial offers will be invited from three qualified candidates, the order said.
In March, the KSEB approved a proposal to involve a consulting agency to explore the viability of the establishment of Bess units of combined capacity in the range of 3000 MWh to 5000 MWh Bess in the next three to five years.
