Once he is considered to be the flagship of the former Bruht Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP), feeding and microchipins are now in limb after creating new corporations.
With the dissolution of the centralized animal breeding department, new corporations will have their own dedicated wings of animals in their relevant jurisdictions. The departments will continue to supervise ongoing and previously sanctioned projects.
According to a higher clerk in the large Bengalurur Authority (GBA), while the projects that took place before the creation of five corporations will continue without interruption, the decision -making body for projects where working orders have not yet been issued in newly created corporations.
In the case of micro -curling and feeding programs, the BBMP was dissolved in the early and late fine stages. Each project had at least two interested parties and the BBMP was in the process of completing offers for the feed program.
“The GBA is not authorized to implement the project; it can only lead new corporations to consider investment in it. It depends on corporations to allocate or terminate them,” GBA said, adding that new corporations would have to remember tenders if they decide to continue.
Officials from two newly created corporations stated that these projects still have to decide. However, they noted that initiatives are not among their current priorities, because most funds are focused on solving basic infrastructure problems.
According to bid documents and previous BBMP records, the microchip project was estimated by CRORE 3.23 GBP, while the feeding program was estimated at 2.88 Crore.
The aim of the Microchipping initiative was the implant chips for all stray dogs, with 3.09 GBP Crore to be set aside for orders of 1,62,817 microchips and 14.85 Lakh for the purchase of 50 microchips readers. Meanwhile, the feeding program tried to set up 100 compounds to provide one meal per day for 4,000 dogs.
The GBA source noted that although the budget for these projects would not significantly burden new corporations, the current influx of the Civic Body Fund is limited and is preferred for urgent questions rather than long -term programs.
“Although the company expresses interest in taking over the project, fresh offers will have to be floated. At the time of this, the elections of the civic body are likely to be announced. The following transitional period with the return of councilors and committees will also delay progress,” the official indicated that the official added that the official added that the official.
Previous obstacles
However, calls for both of these projects are not new. The initiatives faced considerable resistance from citizens and activists, although the clarification issued after their announcement eventually led to a wider acceptance of the feed program. However, the microchip project continued to criticize, and activists even submit to the Supreme Court. In addition, the microching offers hovered three times, but could not attract any candidates.
On the other hand, when there was a controversy in the treatment of stray dogs, the proactive attitude of the BBMP to the feeding of dogs was widely appreciated by civil groups, which appreciated it as a potential model for civic bodies throughout India.
