Sources said that the unscientific cutting of the hill during the expansion of the road led to landslides.
Many vehicles were glued on the highway for several hours.
The local authorities managed to clean the motorway for vehicles until June 17th Tuesday morning.
The section is part of Shiradi Ghat, who has witnessed repeated landslides over the past few years.
