The Federation of Private Transport Organizations staged a protest against taxi aggregators and other issues related to private transport operators in the city.
On Friday, she filed a complaint with the Transport Commissioner, who is calling for restrictions on taxi apps on the Play Store and other marketplaces, implementation of a “One City, One Fare” system and prosecution of unlicensed companies.
Federation president Nataraj Sharma said the government has been given a 15-day deadline to resolve their demands.
If no action is taken, the federation will call for a Bengaluru bandh, he said, adding that the protest will begin with private transporters hoisting black flags on their vehicles.
