
Police Halasuru Gate Police registered a case against a man who comes from Andhra Pradesh, for alleged storage of 50 counterfeit notes of 2,000 GBP at the Reserve Bank of India, Bengalur Branch.
The accused identified as Pandijunta Gajendra, a native of the Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, were accused of sections 178 (criminal offense of coins, government stamps, monetary notes or banking notes), 179 (use of counterfeit or counterfeit items) and 180 banks) or banks) or banks), or banks) or banks) or banks) or banks) or banking notes) or banking notes) or banking notes) or banking notes) or banking notes), weight, or banking NYay Sanhita (BNS), 2023, based on Bhim Choudhara complaints, assistant CEO, RBI
According to the complainant, the defendants invested a total of 91 notes to be credited to his account. During the verified bank officials suspected that some notes were false because they were not suitable for security checks.
Officials sent them to further verification 11 May.
Part of the RBI press made a check and marked 50 monetary notes as counterfeiting because they did not correspond to the year of the press and a number of numbers, the officials said.
