
Minister and Treasurer of the Association of Kricket Association Karnataka (KSCA) on Thursday resigned from his positions and took the moral responsibility for Stampede outside the Bengalur Stadium, which led to the death of 11 people during the IPL TROPHY RCB celebrations.
In a joint statement, former Secretary Shankar and Treasurer Es Jairam said they submitted a resignation to the KSCA President on Thursday evening, PTI press agency reported.
The statement was: “… because of unforeseen and unfortunate events that have taken place in the last two days, and although our roles have been very limited, we want to say that we have offered our resignation to our relevant posts such as Secretary and Treasurer Karnataka State Cricket Association.”
On Wednesday evening, a strike in front of the Chinnaswama stadium in Bengalur, where a large number of people could participate in the IPL celebration of the Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) team.
Police Bengaluru registered companies against franchise RCB, DNA Entertainment PVT on Thursday. Ltd., Society for Management of Event; and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) for “closing murder, illegal assembly and other serious accusations”.
On Friday, a meeting in Bengalur in connection with StamPede filed four individuals, including a higher RCB official Nikhil Sosale and three events managers, for 14 days of judicial ties.
