The day after the death of 11 persons in Stampede during the celebrations of the RCB victory in Bengalur, the Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar on Thursday collapsed on Thursday in front of the medium while talking about the episode. The opposition mocked him for shearing tears after allowing the tragedy to strike.
Minister of the Union and leader JD (s) HD Kumaraswamy demanded his release from the state cabinet and accused him of being responsible for this episode.
“The opposition is politics. But I am affected by the sadness of the death of children,” said the head of the Chief Minister of Plain and interacting with media persons in Bengalur. “These children had a clear future ahead of them. This incident has touched the reputation of Bengalur and Karnataka. We took this incident seriously and fix the shortcomings. This is lessons for us.”
He said that the municipal police commissioner told them that the program at the stadium should be limited to just 10 minutes. “I didn’t plan to go to the stadium before. After I was told by a police commissioner, I rushed to the venue. Even the President and Secretary of the KSCA could not go to the stadium and I had to take them in the car. We talked to the RCB management to keep the short program. He said it was time for sadness and not for the score of some political brownies.
Counterattack
Shivakumar launched a counterattack on opposition and said he would speak of similar tragedies that took place during their regime in the upcoming legislative session. “I can name all the tragedies that took place during the BJP and JD mode. But I don’t want to bend at their level. I will talk about such incidents during the BJP and JD regime (s) in legislative sessions.”
Minister of the Union HD Kumaraswamy accused Mr. Shivakumar of the tragedy and said that the main minister should throw him away if he had some courage. “Hunger DCM after publicity and in the middle of tragic deaths and its gross behavior in the program was the height of insensitivity.” He also described the whole program in front of the for example judge as “show Daadaagiri (bullying) by Mr. Shivakumar”. Even after he learned about deaths, he participated in the winning program, said Mr. Kumaraswamy.
