On April 7, Shabina Ban’s victim, home help, along with her relatives, and a man named Fayaz, went on a short trip and returned to Shabina to the house.
Later, when the husband of Shabiny, Jameel Ahmed, returned home, and Fayaz found a fayaz in a residence. Furious over their presence went to Jama Masjid in the Bengaluru Tavarekere region to file a complaint against these three.
On April 9, Shabina, Nasreen and Fayaz were convened by the mosque. When they arrived, a group of men began to attack Shabina with sticks and pipes. She suffered serious injuries in the incident.
After the social media became a video of the attack, a case was filed against six accused, who are accused of plotting, attacking and attempting to murder.
Police arrested six people in connection with the attack. The accused were identified as Mohammad Niyaz (32), driver; Mohammad Gauspeer (45), scrap dealer; Chand Basha (35), sugar cane juice; Dastagir (24), wheel mechanic; Rasool TR (42), a fisherman in the lake Bukambudi; and inayat Ullah (51), local resident.
