Bengaluru man found dead in Hassan

A man was found dead outside the district court building on Hassan-Holenarasipur Road in Hassan, Karnataka, in the early hours of June 8.

On the basis of identity documents recovered from the spot, the police identified the deceased as Manjesh Kumar (45), a resident of Anjanapura, Bengaluru. He is a native of Hassan.

According to police records, Manjesh Kumar faced criminal charges in several cases registered under the Arms Act and Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act at the Talaghattapura police station in Bengaluru.

Police officers on night patrol discovered the body around two o’clock in the morning. The body was taken for an autopsy. Hassan Extension Police registered a case and started investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
