Bengaluru auto driver wins over the internet with his AI skills; ChatGPT calls him ‘Pookie uncle-ge’ | Today’s news

An ordinary commute in Bengaluru turned into a viral moment when an auto driver revealed his unexpected knowledge of artificial intelligence. During a casual chat with a passenger, the driver shared that he uses ChatGPT every day and opened up about his future plans to write an astrology book.

ChatGPT Car Uncle

“The auto ride home has turned into a highlight of Bangalore today,” said content creator Gagan Saiprasad while sharing the auto driver’s story in a viral Instagram reel.

“It was my Uber ride home. I noticed a bunch of things hanging from a string in his car, charms, a few idols. One thing caught my eye: a piece of paper with random numbers inside a square. I asked him what it was just as I was getting off,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

Saiprasad shared that during a casual chat with the driver, “somewhere along the way he mentioned that he was using ChatGPT.”

Taken aback, the content creator shared the revelation and started a fun and easy conversation back and forth about how we use AI, what it can do, and the little things each discovered.

“What stayed with me was his face. The pure joy of discovering what technology can really do for you, not in a ‘this is going to disrupt your industry’ way, just in a simple, human ‘oh wow, can it do that?’ way,” Saiprasad wrote. “Such joy is rare to see and even rarer to capture on camera.”

Astrology book

Calling the driver “ChatGPT Auto Uncle”, Saiprasad shared that he wants to write a book on astrology soon. “No surprise, the man obviously has a story to tell.

In a separate detailed post, the content creator said the driver told him he follows several astrology YouTube channels and “says their tips have really helped him.” He also shared that he’s collected so many of these tips over the years, “he wants to write a book about it one day when his loans are cleared and his mind is clear.”

Reunion – thanks to ChatGPT

Saiprasad shared that he exchanged phone numbers with ChatGPT Auto Uncle and also told him that a video of him had gone viral.

But: “About the same time I got a DM saying, ‘Brother, that’s my father.’ I was skeptical. Anyone could say that. I asked her to send his number. She did. It was a match.”

“Months later, a stranger’s video of him using her brought her back to his days,” he said.

“Father and daughter who haven’t spoken in a while. Distance happens. Life gets busy. Things get left unsaid,” the content creator noted. “It turns out she was the one who introduced him to ChatGPT.

Touched by how his post brought father and daughter together, Saiprasad said: “A father who silently hoped his daughter still saw him. A daughter who saw him. And she was proud. Everyone carries something. Some want validation. Some acceptance. Some just a blessing from a stranger.”

The car driver also sent him a voice message.

“PS: Now he sends me astrological tips daily,” said Saiprasad.
