The availability of Captain England Ben Stokes on a bowl on the last day of the fourth test against India remains in doubt after injuring the knee during launching. Stokes scored scintillation 141 using 11 four and three six and became only the fifth captain in the history of the game to pick up five goals and scored in the same test.
However, Its 198-Mi-Mi-Extra Banks caused some damage to its kneepreventing its ability to mix in other Indian shifts. The English captain did not come to the attack despite SHUBMAN GILL and the massive Kl Rahul stand. Therefore, England missed the services of its leader, who appeared in the first shifts as a selection of pitching with his five goals.
The English assistant coach Marcus Trescothick presented the update of Stokes Fitness for a 5th day and revealed that after a massive workload in the last two tests, it is a bit tough.
“We are waiting to see that it is obviously stiff and sore, has had a large workload in the last few weeks and apparently again in this game and had a little cramp while launching yesterday. They crossed the fingers tonight and good rest and hopefully it will come out tomorrow,” Trescothick BBC Sport.
Former English captain Nasser Hussain also shared his thoughts of Stokes’s injury and said he should not be bowling.
“We all know that Stokes, and if it’s just a spasm and he feels a little painful and stiff, he’ll have a bowl to see how it is. But the fact that he felt the top of his hamstring where he had problems before,” Hussain said at Sky Sports.
Manchester Test Day 4 Updates
“You could even discuss whether it should be in the field. The problem for England is that he has to play every game because he is a captain and cannot be rest. He did so well and will be exhausted,” he added.
If they don’t fit enough to run, don’t think he’ll be able to mix: Pujara
India’s dough Cheteshwar Pujara was also based on Stokes’s fitness and mentioned that a versatile worker tried to run between goals during launching and could think about bowling with ashes, which is also scheduled at the end of this year.
“The Way Hey Limping While Batting, i’m Not Sure If It Was and Cramp Or and Muscle Pull, But He Clearly Wasn’t Comfortable. Even When He’ll Back Tomorrrow. In The Bigger Picture, They’ll Be Thinking About The Ashes Tour and the Next Test Match. Pujara on Sony Sports.
So far, Stokes has been the head of the series with 16 goals in his name from seven shifts. Therefore, his absence will massively hurt England, who longs to close the series by victory. Day 5 in Manchester promises to be the next final of the nerve harassment of the test, similar to the previous three series accessories that have reached the last day. Will Gill and Rahul’s defiance take India to the safe coast without any problems or Will Stokes will grow again to turn the tide for the benefit of his team.
The last day in Manchester promises to be another blockbuster with both teams who do not want to give each other thumb. Which will fight on both sides to come out at the top, remains to see.
