Drug abuse not only damages individuals, but also disrupts the potential demographic dividend of the nation, the Minister of the Union for Coal and Miny G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday addressed students at Osmania University in the Program of Awareness of Drug abuse.
He called on students to “be torches in India without drugs,” he urged them and the learning community to oppose the abuse of addictive substances by creating education and awareness.
Mr. Reddy, Vice -Chairman of Kumar Molugaram, head of the National Party Jai Bharat VV Lakshminarayana, university officials and students from 24 different legal universities discussed collective liability for drug abuse and related legal measures.
