District Collector MN Harendira Prasad directed the officials concerned to make the parks and tourist spots attractive. As part of the CII partnership summit scheduled for November 14 and 15 in Visakhapatnam, many delegates from India and abroad have visited the city to visit local tourist destinations, he said and directed the officials to take appropriate measures. In the process of identifying the venue for the ‘Gala Dinner’ for the delegates, which is likely to be held on November 13, the Collector visited several parks including VMRDA Park, MGM Park, Sea Harriers, TU-142 Aircraft Museum, Submarine Museum and Tenneti Park. He inspected the conditions at each location and discussed with officials the feasibility of hosting dinner and other activities at those locations. The Collector looked into several aspects like parking, suitable areas for cultural programs etc. He directed the officials to carry out necessary construction works, repairs, tree planting and beautification activities whenever required. VMRDA Chief Engineer Vinay Kumar, SE Bhavani Shankar and other officials were present.
