
Veteran Sri Lanka All-Rounder Angelo Mathews officially ended his turbulent test career at the end of June 21 after Sri Lanka drawn test against Bangladesh in Galle. After the match, Mathews was thinking about his journey and named two standout moments from his 15-year-old Stint in cricket with the red ball-in 2014 victory of the historical test series Sri Lanka in England and 2016 in 2016.
Mathews, who debuted in 2009, was part of both orientation triumphs and played in every central role. In 2014, Sri Lanka under his captain defeated England 1-0 in a series of two matches-Jejich the first test series on English soil. Two years later, Mathews again led from the front when Sri Lanka amazed Australia in the dominant sweeping of 3-0 at home, with a party stacked by young skews and developing talents.

Both series of victories came during the Captain Mathews and are widely considered to be two of Sri Lanka’s best achievements in a modern test cricket. The 37-year-old reflected after his last match in Galle and acknowledged the two campaigns as defining the moments of his red ball career.
In Galle test against BangladeshMathews signed with a score of 39 and 8. During the first shifts, he received an honorary guard, and the Bangladeshi players applauded him when he last stepped out of the test arena.
Mathews closes his career as the third highest running shooter Sri Lanka in a test cricket, with 8 214 runs in 119 matches on average 44.4, of which the 16th century and the 49 1950s. Only Kumar Sangakkar and Mahela Jayawardene scored other trial runs for Earth.
From the youngest captain of the test in Sri Lanka to the temporary flight he has become a pillar of stability, Mathews’s heritage is built as well as performance. And the appropriate, two moments they value most are those that brought its nation immense pride.
