At the end of this month, the cricket control council is preparing for the annual General Meeting (AGM) at the end of this month, confirming that in the coming days the highest brass council will take place at a high level. This discussion on closed doors is expected to discuss, a narrower list and complete the names of the candidates for the upcoming elections.
Agm, scheduled for last week in Mumbai, will probably see continuity in some key positions. It is expected that the position of the secretary, the common secretary and the treasurer will remain unchanged, while the current bearers will continue the conditions. However, the elections will take place for the positions of the President and Vice President-Role, which could transform the management of the Board of Directors.
The President of the President remains widely open at this stage, and the initiates indicate that the selection could range from the former Indian cricket to an experienced cricket manager. Sources add that the Board of Directors has not yet included a single candidate and the final call will be made only after the management meeting.
Rajeev Shukla, the current vice -chairman, proved to be one of the most important personalities in discussions. According to sources, there are three possibilities for him: maintaining his current position, performance as president of BCCi or the accusation of the IPL Presidency is handed over. While the strongest chance is that Shukla continues as a vice-chairman, there is also a “60-40 option” that it is promoted to the highest work.
Meanwhile, the IPL chair could see the change. The former treasurer Bcci Anirudh Choudhura is inclined to return to the fold, while the Bengal Avissk Dalmiya – currently a member of the IPL Council – is also in the statement.
A formal announcement of AGM is expected in the next two to three days. Once a high -level meeting is convened, it probably sets the tone not only for the choice but also for the balance of power inside the BCCI.
