BCCI announces Muthoot FinCorp as the main sponsor in the deal till March 2028

Muthoot FinCorp has been named as the new title sponsor of Indian domestic cricket, with the financial services company entering into an association with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) until March 2028. The partnership will cover all international series and tournaments played in India, as well as domestic competitions organized by the BCCI. The association will begin India’s first ODI against West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, the board announced on Saturday, September 26.

Muthoot FinCorp’s title sponsorship will therefore extend beyond the Indian men’s and women’s senior teams to cover a wide swath of the country’s cricket structure. The partnership includes India A, India B, age group teams and other designated teams along with major domestic tournaments. Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy are among the competitions covered by the agreement.

The move will give Muthoot FinCorp visibility in both international and domestic cricket, while giving the company a presence across India’s national teams and a route that puts them into them.

Muthoot FinCorp replaces IDFC First Bank, whose partnership with BCCI ended in August 2026.

While Muthoot FinCorp takes the lead sponsorship, Apollo Tires remains the main sponsor Indian cricket teams. Apollo Tires became the main sponsor of Team India in 2025 after replacing Dream11, with its deal running until March 2028.

BCCI’s current sponsorship portfolio also includes Campa, SBI Life and ChatGPT as associate sponsors.

A NATURAL CONNECTION

Muthoot FinCorp Joint Managing Director Thomas George Muthoot said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to support Indian cricket across national and domestic platforms.

“Muthoot FinCorp’s association with BCCI reflects our commitment to support Indian cricket across national and domestic platforms,” he said.

BCCI President Mithun Manhas said the partnership reflects the breadth of India’s cricket calendar, which brings together international cricket, domestic competitions and players at different stages of their careers.

“Indian cricket’s domestic season brings together national teams, domestic competitions and players at different stages of their journey. Having Muthoot FinCorp as the main sponsor reflects the strength and reach of Indian cricket and the connection it has with people across the country,” said the former cricketer.

“There is also a natural connection between the two brands, with Muthoot FinCorp’s distinctive blue aligning with the men and women in Indian cricket blue. We are delighted to welcome Muthoot FinCorp to the BCCI family and look forward to building a strong association in the coming seasons.”
