
The cricket board in India (BCCI) announced the schedule of the ODI series with ODI in India against Australia. The matches will take place on 14 September 17 and 20 at the stadium Ma Chidambarama in Chennai. This series is part of the preparation of both teams for the ODI World Championship at the end of this year.
Chepauk returns to hosting women’s ODI for the first time since March 2007, when India, New Zealand, England and Australia competed in the quadrangular series. Recently last year the venue hosted three T20i matches and a one -time test between India and South Africa.
India had a strong year in 50-over format. After defeating Ireland at home in January, the women in Blue continued to win the Tri-Series in Sri Lanka and defeated the host in the final. Pratika Rawal was a standout artistbecome the fastest woman to reach 500 ODI runs.
India has also introduced several new faces to ODI settings. All-Rounder Kashvee Gautam, Spinners left shoulder Sree Charani and Shuchi UPPAPHYAY, and the rapid pitch Kranti Goud debuted during Sri Lanka Tri-Series. Since the T20 World Cup took place last year in UAE, eight other players – including Tejal Hasabnis and Titas Sadha – also won their ODI cap.
Furthermore, the Harmanpreet Kaur team will be a tour in England in June and July and is playing five T20i, followed by three ODIs. Shafali verma returns to the national side after being selected for the T20i group while Sneh Rana is for the first time back in T20is In two years, after her players, the series performances in Sri Lanka.
