The secretary of the cricket council in India (BCCI) Devyit Saikia defended his decision to organize a test match in Nový Delhi in November. BCCI recently introduced a schedule of the upcoming home season because they are set up to host West Indies and South Africa since October 2.
India and West Indies will play a series of two matches in October with two games scheduled for Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The Rohit Sharma party will be accepted from South Africa from November 14, the first of which will be played at the ARUn Jaitel stadium in Nový Delhí.
The decision to choose Delhi as a venue, especially in November, did not drop well with the fans who criticized the BCCi for not taking into account serious levels of pollution of the city. However, Saika prevented the decision that the Board of Directors had led the discussion with all parties involved before completing the venue and stressed that the problem of pollution did not occur every year.
“We considered all the factors and after discussion with all of the rotation policy. The problem of pollution does not happen every year,” Saikia Indian Express said.
In addition, Minister DDCA (Delhi and District cricket) assured it to take all measures to ensure the safety of the player, and also mention that the level of pollution in November is slightly better than December.
“The DDCA Will Take All Measures Possible to Ensure Players Are Comfortable When They Play The Test Match. Also, The Arnu Jaitley Stadium is Located Allotted and Match for and While.
Delhi’s controversial test from 2017
The last test match at the venue was played in February 2023 against Australia, where India won six goals. However, the match took place before in December 2017 Against Sri Lanka proved to be a controversial matter As Sri Lanka’s players complained that they were facing breathing problems during the game.
Most of the Sri Lankan players faced difficulties that came out to play after lunch at 2 day, because the team coaches and coach Fielding had to fill as Fielders. The incident created chaos in the middle, and India had to make a premature statement.
Since then, air quality in Delhi, especially in October and November, has deteriorated due to the stubble in neighboring countries. It remains to see what measures will take BCCi and DDCA to ensure smooth hosting of the key accessories.
