Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) demolished part of 12 buildings that violated the building regulation in the Yelahanka zone on Monday.
In the Yelahank constituency, civil officials took another floor in five buildings. These buildings have built one floor for what was allowed. Of these were two buildings “B” Khata Properties.
Similarly, in the election district in the election district in Byarayanapura, civil officials demolished one other floor in three buildings, two floors in another building. The owners of two other buildings issued a commitment that they were demolishing other floors themselves.
Karigowda, Zonal Commissioner Yelahanka, said that all property owners have been issued a strict warning that they must not deviate from approved building plans. “Any violation will lead to the demolition of unauthorized structures and storage of sanctions,” he said.
