Telugu Sangham Austria organized Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations in Vienna where a large number of Telugu families living in Austria gathered.

The celebrations were organized under the leadership of the president of the association, Srilatha Komati Reddy, in coordination with the executive committee. The aim of the event was to preserve and promote Telugu culture and traditions among the Telugu diaspora and pass it on to the younger generations.

Women enthusiastically participated in the traditional Bathukamma festivities, singing folk songs and dancing. Children and youth also participated in cultural programs that completed the festive atmosphere.

“It’s about trying to be connected to our roots and also keeping children aware of Telugu culture and traditions,” said Manikumar Adepu of Telugu Sangham Austria.

Highlights of the celebration included a potluck with traditional Telugu food, musical performances and raffles.

Members of the executive committee, volunteers, decoration and registration teams and other members worked together to organize the event. The celebrations were also supported by sponsors and supporters.

Mrs. Srilatha Komati Reddy said on the occasion that the main objective of the association was to preserve the Telugu culture and traditions despite living abroad and to bring the Telugu community members together as one family.

The celebrations ended on a happy note, with participants sharing memories and reaffirming their commitment to keeping Telugu traditions alive in Austria.

Telugu Sangam Austria plans to continue organizing cultural activities to strengthen community ties and promote Telugu heritage among future generations.
