The FC Barcelona Academy will make its debut in Kerala at a three-day training camp in Kochi in May.
The camp will be held at the Maharaja’s College grounds from May 7 to 9. This will mark the opening of an internationally recognized football club in Kerala through its official football academy – Barça Academy India. The camp will allow participants to learn and interact with the Barça Academy technical director and coaches who will fly from Barcelona to Kochi for the camp.
The camp will be open to boys and girls between the ages of five and 18 and will run in three batches. This camp will start the process of setting up a full time barca academy in Ernakulam. Barça Academy India will select several outstanding players from the Kochi and Kerala camps to participate in the Barça Academy tournaments in Barcelona, Spain as well as other international venues within the Barça Academy global network.
Barça Academy is the official academy of FC Barcelona with its own ecosystem, facilities and assets. The academy is aimed at boys and girls from 6 to 18 years old, it follows and copies the game model established in the coaching teams of FC Barcelona; “Barça style”.
