Bank of India is going to start recruitment for 779 vacancies for the post of Credit Officer. As per the brief notification, this recruitment offers employment in various scales in General Banking Officer (GBO) stream. The detailed recruitment notification will be released tomorrow, 30th June, and on the same day, the bank will also activate the registration link on its official website.

This makes it one of the biggest opportunities for experienced banking professionals. Eligible graduates will be eligible to apply for the advertised posts once the detailed notification is published and application forms are available.

In a post on X on June 26, BOI said, “Shape the future of banking with Bank of India. If you are an experienced credit professional, explore opportunities in several open positions and be part of our growth journey. Registration opens on June 30, 2026.”

This recruitment drive will be conducted by BOI for the posts of Credit Officer in MMGS-II, MMGS-1ll and SMGS-IV grades. Depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates, the selection process will include an online test and/or interview, the details of which will be published in Tuesday’s notification. Selected candidates will be offered a salary in the range of Rs. 64,820 to Rs. 1,02,300.

Candidates will have to wait for the official notification for complete information about post-wise eligibility, salary, category-wise vacancy distribution, registration deadline, installment schedule, exam date and other details.

However, based on the previous recruitment drives of BOI, those candidates with post graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized university will be eligible to apply. Additionally, a degree in Business, Economics, Business Administration (MBA/PGDM), Finance or a related field will most likely be preferred. Marking scheme

The online exam usually consists of 150 questions. The question paper will most likely carry 150 marks with negative marking for each incorrect answer. One quarter of the mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Eligibility

Candidates must have graduation degree with prescribed marks for SMGS-IV posts. Along with this, the candidate must have an MBA, PGDBM, two years full time Master’s degree in any discipline or CA CFA or CMA-ICWA qualification from a recognized institution. According to the previous BOI recruitments, the age limit for the post of MMGS-l will be 25 to 35 years, 28 to 38 years for MMGS-Ill and 30 to 40 years for SMGS-V.

Charge

Application fee in the amount of 850 is most likely to be charged for general and other category application which includes notification charges. SC, ST and PWD category applicants will have to pay 175 on notification charges only.
