
Sudheer Thomas, an employee of a bank, was on Tuesday 6th May in connection with the alleged theft of stopped gold in Kannura, Kannuru in connection with the alleged theft of stopped gold in connection with the alleged theft of stopped gold around 60 Laky. Since the matter came to light, it has been an escape.
The arrest comes the day after Suneesh Thomas, the second accused, was taken into custody. The duo reportedly stole 18 packs of gold belonging to customers from the Kachericadav branch in the bank.
According to the police, Sudheer, a temporary treasurer, replaced the promised gold for counterfeits. Of the stolen packets, 16 reportedly belonged to relatives and friends of Suneesh who operate private financial facilities. Among those replaced was also the promised gold of Sudheer’s wife.
The alleged fraud came to light after the customer found that the gold he had committed was false and filed a complaint. The bank officials discovered theft during the internal inspection.
Sudheer’s bag, mobile phone and bike were later found abandoned, caused suspicion and led to a formal complaint of the secretary of the bank. The police suspect more persons in the case.
