The upcoming tour of Pakistan in the Bangladesh cricket team is likely to be overparted due to a recent escalation in the tension of borders between India and Pakistan. The head official from the Bangladesh cricket council (BCB) has confirmed India today that both BCB and Pakistanic cricket council (PCB) are currently working on the itinerary revision.
“As we speak, both records are interviewed about touring data for tour,” the source said. “What happened between India and Pakistan has influenced this series, and therefore both records are now trying to complete new data. An official announcement will soon be made.”
Bangladesh was originally scheduled to play five T20i series matches against Pakistan from May 25th to June 3. If that continued, Bangladesh would mean the first international team to see Pakistan after the recent tension of the borders between the two neighboring countries.
Complications, however, appeared after the changes in the Pakistani Super League plan (PSL). The PSL final, which was originally planned at the end of the Bangladesh series, was now overparted to 25 May – on the same day the first T20i between Banglades and Pakistan took place.
Despite the uncertainty around the Pakistani tour, the Bangladesh series of two T20i matches remains untouched against the United Arab Emirates (SAE). The tigers are planned to face the UAE 17 and 19. May at the Sharjah cricket stadium. According to the original plan, the team was to travel to Lahore 21. May before the first T20i in Pakistan.
BCB is expected to make an official statement as soon as the revised data is completed in coordination with the PCB. Until then, Bangladeshi immediate focus focuses on their short tour of the UAE when they prepare for a potentially moved schedule in Pakistan.
