
The Bangladeshi woman was recently arrested by the inkolkata by the Police of West Bengal, which has false Indian identification documents such as Aadhaar and ID card of voters. The woman was identified as 28 -year -old Shanta Paul.
She was arrested by officials of the Lalbazar detective department in Calcutta. Since 2023 she lived in a rented apartment in Bijoygarh, Jadavpur.
According to the police, Shantahad entered India using a valid passport. She worked as a member of the ABangladeshiairline Regent Airways crew and was also a small model and actress.
“The initial probe revealed that the woman was trying to travel to several foreign countries, but couldn’t do so from Bangladesh. So she decided to come to India and travel to foreign countries using Indian documents. She calculated steps to do so.
From there she moved to a rented apartment in the southern part of the Bikramgarh city area, and from there she joined another man and managed to provide a false Aadhaar card and voter card, said the officer.
“Then she applied for an Indian passport using all these false documents. During the verification, the woman was called officers of the green police station and at that time she could not create her birth certificate and could not provide proper answers concerning her family members,” he said.
Something “fish” was filed at the Park Street police station, filed a complaint against the noisy police section in Calcutta.
Finally, the police carried out an air raid on her apartment, where she found several documents, including the Bangladeshi passport issued in her name, the regent Airways Employee ID, Dhaka’s Education Board.
Several Indian identification documents were also confiscated during the raid, including AADHAAR cards, voter IDs and ration cards.
The police also tried to find out which documents she used to get accommodation in Park Street.
Paul was taken to the police custody by 8 August by a court.
Her husband, a native of Andhra Pradesh, and her parents who stayed with her in a rented apartment are also subject to investigation.
