The Reddit user expressed frustration over the steep increase in renting a house after Bangalore after the Covid-19 pandemia. The post claims that while demand and supply can explain the “market rate”, landlords use this situation.

Post Reddit says that even modest apartments in basic buildings in Bengalur are listed at the address £50,000 per month. The user points out that many landlords do not depend on this money. But they still justify their decisions by charging the same thing.

OP criticizes this attitude and says it promotes inflation across industries such as travel, food and health care.
“Yes, it is a capitalist system, but this thinking also supports the inflation that we complain about,” adds the post.
The user also emphasizes a limited available option because the tasks are concentrated in certain parts of India.
“When I raised it with some Bangaloreans, I got the usual answer:” If you don’t like it, you’ll get lost. “But it ignores reality,” the user says.

“The truth is that the work does not spread evenly throughout the country, so many of us do not have much choice,” adds the user.
When another Reddit user informs that the owner demanded an apartment £10 Lakh as a load, OP says these people do not call it “greed”. It is “the way things work”.
