Bandi Sanjay sees a conspiracy to eliminate Hindu votes
HUNTING TIAL
Alleging a conspiracy to remove Hindu voters from electoral rolls on a large scale in Telangana, State Home Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the ruling Congress of trying to abuse the SIR process and urged voters to remain vigilant.
Mr. Sanjay alleged that the state government is not fully cooperating with the officials in conducting the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the electoral rolls, which is worrisome and could lead to a conspiracy. He was addressing the media at Desaipet village in Jagtial district after inaugurating the CC bus shelter and road on Saturday.
He also alleged that the previous BRS government and the current Congress government had saddled Telangana with a debt of nearly ₹10 crore, putting a huge financial burden on the people of the state. “If this trend continues, Telangana risks facing a financial crisis similar to that experienced by Sri Lanka or Pakistan,” Mr. Sanjay said. “Despite massive borrowing, what has the government achieved?” he asked.
Enumerating the development initiatives of the Centre, he said that more than ₹10,000 crore has been spent exclusively on road infrastructure development in the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency in the last seven years. He said the Karimnagar-Warangal National Highway is being constructed at a cost of ₹ 2,147 crore and is expected to be opened to the public by Dasara this year.
“Estimated at ₹578 crore, the Elkaturthy-Siddipet National Highway project is progressing rapidly. The Center has already sanctioned ₹2,003 crore for the widening of the Karimnagar-Jagtial highway and the work will start soon,” he added.
