Bandh call to shut educational institutes in Telangana on July 24

Many educational institutes in Telangana are closed on Friday (July 24, 2026) following a call by Left-affiliated student unions demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, fair compensation to affected students and others.

As part of the bandh, members of SFI-AISF-NSUI-PDSU-AIFDS-AIPSE-AISB organized a student rally from Narayanguda to Y junction in Hyderabad in the morning.

Many schools in the city were closed in response to the call. Osmania University has postponed all examinations scheduled for Friday.
