
69 lost or stolen mobile phones worth 15.26 ₹ Lakh were returned to its justified owners at the Jeedimetla Police Station
Police Balanagar from the Commissioner Cyberabad on Monday returned its justified owners of 69 lost or stolen mobile phones worth 15.26 Lakh. Renewal was carried out via the Central Equipment Identity Portal (CEIR), which allowed the device to be monitored using their IMEI numbers.
Renewed phones were formally handed over to an event organized at the Jeedimetla Police Station. Of the 69 recovered mobile phones, the highest number, 36 devices worth 8.11 Lakh, were traced in Jeedimetla. Sanathnagar followed 23 mobile phones worth 4.25 GBP Lakh. The Balanagar Police Station won seven 2.10 Lakh phones, while Jagadgirigutta represented three headphones worth 80,000 GBP.
The police urged citizens who lost their mobile phones to immediately register the complaints and use the CEIR portal to help track and acquire their equipment.
