Bakrid festival in Kerala on 27th and 28th May

The Kerala government has declared a two-day public holiday in connection with Bakrid (Eid al-Adha). All public sector undertakings, educational institutions (including professional colleges) and institutions covered by the Negotiable Instruments Act in Kerala will have holidays on 27th and 28th May.

The government declared a holiday for Bakrid on May 27. However, as Bakrid is celebrated on May 28 in the state, the government has decided to extend the holiday.
