Former minister and Prahar Janshakti Party chief Bacchu Kadu joined the Shiv Sena on Thursday (April 30, 2026) in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He was announced as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Legislative Council elections. He then filed nomination papers.
This comes a day after he indicated that he was open to an alliance with the Shiv Sena-led Eknath Shinde if it meant farmers’ problems and the interests of people with disabilities (PwD).
