Axar Patel enjoyed the fairy -tale beginning of his captain’s stint with Delhi Capitals in the first phase of IPL 2025. When the tournament reaches its half grade, Axar appeared as one of the most successful captains this season and led DC to five winnings in six matches.
It is a remarkable turn for franchise, which has never received the title IPL and achieved the finals only once. This year, however Delhi sits comfortably on top The table, with morals winning winnings-including the recent Super above the thriller against Rajasthan Royals.
The Indian versatile revealed that he thoroughly accepted the leading role and insisted that the captain had never seen a burden.
“I was the captain of the state cricket, I know what to do and what to do. And if you have a chance to run the team as you want, and play the way you want to play, why not,” Axar said.
Axar, who led Gujarat in 23 matches across formats, said he was not relying on any particular lead template.

“I do what I think is right and I don’t follow a template. I am a confusion. I’m not a captain for the first time.
“But as a captain, I see who is in shape, how their day goes, what they can do and what they can’t.
Axar finally performed with the bat during the collision of the RR, when his 14-míč 34 gave Delhi much needed support.
“I thought I had fired well in the last and a half year. But when I came to this tournament I couldn’t create an impact. I don’t know if it was a soft release or something. I got too aggressive. But when I went today I was clear. I knew who I wanted to focus.”
When Axar asked about his stunning performance, he explained that he suffered him to the finger injury during the championship trophy.
“During the masters trophy, I kept cutting on my finger. The skin is just coming. Every time they blend my skin, the skin emerges. So I saved myself.
With Super over the victory against Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals are on top of the table with ten points. DC will succeed in Ahmedabad in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
