Retired Justice N. Santosh Hegde will present the Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya (SPS) Foundation’s Mahasangrami SR Hiremath Award to Senior High Court Advocate Prashant Bhushan in Dharwad on Tuesday.
The award will be presented to the activist-lawyer during the foundation’s inaugural function at the Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangha at 11 am.
SPS Working President Basavaprabhu Hosakeri told reporters in Dharwad on Sunday that Karnataka State Law University Vice-Chancellor C. Basavaraju would launch the foundation.
Citizens for Democracy President Anandkumar will attend the event as the chief guest and advocate KG Navalgimath will preside over the event.
The founder-president of SPS SR Hiremath will be present.
The award carries a cash prize of ₹1,000 along with a memento.
Law students will get an opportunity to interact with Mr. Bhushan, he said.
