The CEO of the Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta ordered that Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Rester Force (APSDRF) to remain alert and ready to prevent loss of life during the current monsoon season.
During the meeting held on Friday at the AP police headquarters in Mangalagiri, the head of APSDRF and the General Inspector of the Police (IGP) B. Raja Kumari and Commander M. Deepik, together with their team informed DGPs at the current level of readiness.
He understood SDR for their effective efforts to rescue and rehabilitate during the floods of Budamera and other emergencies, Mr. Gupta urged them to maintain high readiness during the season. He also praised APSDRF for getting the first place in regional levels of competitions (southern zone) and providing third place in the national collapsed search and rescue structure (CSSR).
SDF officers also described in detail the recent rescue operations, including successful interventions in the Krishn River and other drowning incidents throughout the state.
