Autorickshaw driver stabbed to death over parking dispute, one critically injured

A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death and another sustained serious injuries in Ambedkar Colony near Nayandahalli on Sunday following a dispute over autorickshaw parking.

The victim has been identified as Guna, 28, an autorickshaw driver and a resident of Ambedkar Colony. His friend Venu sustained serious injuries and was undergoing treatment and his condition was said to be critical.

According to the police, the incident took place after a dispute broke out two days ago over the parking of an auto-rickshaw in front of the house. On Sunday, Guna and Venu were traveling on a motorcycle when accused Vinod allegedly intercepted them.

During the confrontation, Vinod attacked both men with a knife. Guna died on the spot while Venu was rushed to the hospital.

Police said all the three men were residents of Ambedkar Colony and knew each other. Vinod fled from the spot after the attack.

The Byatarayanapura police have registered a case of murder and started an investigation to nab the accused.
