The Belagavi police arrested a 38 -year -old car driver on Wednesday based on killing a woman in the city.
Santosh Jadhav of Verabhadra Nagar was arrested for killing his well-known 42-LYD Mahadevi Bhagappa Kariyananavar of Sadashiv Nagar. She worked as a cookbook in the report.
The defendant, as they say, gave her a loan of 10,000 GBP a year ago. In time, however, she couldn’t repay it.
On Tuesday evening he took it on the road in front of the Lakshmi complex in Sadashiv Nagar. They had a quarrel over money. He hit her on his head. She gathered and bleed.
“Our officers have solved this case in a few hours. Another investigation is turned on,” said police commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabrao to journalists on Wednesday.
“The police control room called around 22:00 that there was a body on the road. A team of officers led by representatives of Narayan Baramani police commissioners and Niranjan Raje rushed to the spot.
“Our officers tracked the accused using human and technical intelligence. They did a commendable job,” the police commissioner said.
He said that a strong set of evidence was collected, including some eyewitnesses.
He created a cash award for an investigation team that included the USman Awati and Santosh Satyanayak.
