
Former Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh and JsCCP chief Yagan Mohan Reddy was appointed in the company after his vehicle allegedly passed during the assembly. Five others, including the leaders of YSRCP and its employees, were named as accused, said the district police Guntur on Sunday.
The accident was allegedly held on Saturday, June 18, when Jagan Mohan Reddy was on his way to the village of Rendapall in the Palnad district at the Assembly, the police official was quoted by the PTI. The Gunturian police confirmed that the vehicle involved in a fatal accident was that Reddy was traveling.
According to the case, the case was originally filed pursuant to Section 106 (1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) on the basis of a complaint with the wife of the victim of Cheel Lurdha Mary.
Later, it was reclassified according to sections 105 (a faulty murder that is not murdered) and 49 (acting threatening human life or personal security of others).
About the case
The incident occurred during the assembly held by Reddy on Saturday, June 18), when Cheeli Singayya reportedly ran through the Yysrp Supremo.
The superintendent of the Guntur Police of Satish Kumar said late Sunday at a press conference that after receiving information about the old man Singayya, who suffered serious bleeding injuries, he was hurried to the hospital, but was declared dead doctors.
“After the analysis of various evidence, it was found that the deceased was observed under the wheels of the Reddy vehicle,” Kumar said.
The case was originally registered pursuant to Section 106 (1) of BNS (causing death negligence) on the basis of a complaint of the late wife, Cheel Lurdha Mary, at the local police station.
After the analysis of the CCTV shots, the visuals of drones and indirect evidence, “the police confirmed that the deceased was released by a former cm in a convoy,” the police said.
After this “confirmation”, the police changed the case to include sections 105 (faulty murder that did not count on murder) and 49 BNS (establishing) and intensified investigations of the participating circumstances.
Other accused are Reddy Ramana Reddy driver, personal assistant to Nageshwar Reddy, head of YV Subbaberedy, former MLA Pernkataramaiah and former Minister of Vidadala Rajini, Kumar said.
Their names were added to the defendant column, Kumar said, adding that legal steps would follow proper processes and valid legal provisions, he said.
