Police arrested a 28 -year -old man for the alleged robbing of three women on the same night during Ganesha festivities last month in South Bengalur.
The accused was identified as N. Poe, the inhabitants of Peenya in the northern Bengalur. His own authorickshaw and about six months ago moved to the city.
According to the police, during the Ganesha festival celebrations last month, Pond and his accomplice, Yogananda, they went to robbery, threatened women with a machete and caught their gold chains.
Between 20:30 and 21:30, the duo focused on women in Girinagar, KS and Konanakunte layouts and robbed three victims of gold chains that weighed about 80 Gm.
The police registered the case. “We checked the CCTV footage from the area and found that the duo came on a bike and robbed women. While Poe was driving on a motorcycle, Yogananda threatened women with a machete and postponed the gold chains to victims,” Hindu investigator said.
The victim was injured in the incident, the investigator said.
Yogananda remains at freedom while Poe has been monitored. “The suspicious escape is a notorious teasing at the Byatarayanapura police station. About three months ago he was released on bail and then committed robbery,” the investigator said.
The police said the Pond accustomed to Yogananda’s family members when he was latter in Ramanagar’s prison. Punaen met Yogananda during one of these family visits and both approached. After Yoganand’s release, the duo joined the robbery together, the police said.
The police received all three gold chains from the accused. Nab Yogananda was launched a probe.
