Australian dough Steve Smith released a warning to England of the upcoming ashes and noted that although they impressed their recent series against India, the conditions in Australia would be a much harder test.
England last won Ashes in Australia in 2010-11 and ensured the victory of 3-1 series thanks to 766 runs Alastair Cook and 24 James Anderson goals. Since then, they have not been able to win a single test on Australian soil, fighting the pitch friendly to the pace and the relentless bowling attack of Australia.
In preparation for ashes, England has drawn its five test home series against India 2-2It plays an aggressive cricket style, but reveals weaknesses under pressure, especially in decisive moments.
The Australian seasoned bowling line -up, combined with demanding home playgrounds, shifts England to launch to the limit when trying to end the 14 -year -old immediate strip down.
“Their series against India was one of the best I saw in years. They are playing an aggressive cricket, but launching in Australia will be a big challenge. Our goals were difficult and we have an experienced and successful bowling attack,” Smith said in an interview.
“Joe Root was excellent”
Smith, who is currently playing on the Welsh fire in hundreds, has welcomed Joe Root in front of the ashes and noted that English doughs have begun to count, especially in the last two years.
In the recent test series against India in England, Root scored 537 runs in nine shifts in an impressive 67.12 average, including three centuries and fifty. Yet in Australia in 27 shifts on only 35.68 and remains without a test century.
“He has been excellent up to 50 years in the last two years. He has changed to large hundreds. He has not meant hundreds in Australia yet – I’m sure he’ll focus on it, but hopefully he won’t get it this summer.”
“Let us talk our skills. We know our conditions well and trust our game,” Smith added.
The upcoming Ashes begins on 21 November with the Optus series Optus Opadium in Perth.
