In the Australian men’s U19 team for the series against India, two Indian original young crickets – Aryan Sharma of Victoria and Yash Dehmukh from New South Wales – were named. The tour will have three 50-over games and two four-day games in Brisbane and Mackay from September 21 to October 10.
The cricket Australian youth selection, along with state talents, chose a group of 15 players. The series is part of the CA plan to develop young players and give them experience in cricket white and red ball.
It is also preparation for the World Cup of ICC U19 in 2026, which will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The two -year cycle has so far included a camp in the National Cricket Center in Brisbane, a tour of India and a special camp for rotation and batting in India.
This will be the first series for the former Australian head coach Tim Nielsen responsible for the U19 team. The team’s experience is expected to help lead the team.
After the series, players will return to their states for the home season. The National Men’s National Championship under 19 will decide on the final group for the World Cup 2026 U19.
