
The rapid pitch of South Africa Kagiso Rabada was excluded from the three -way one -day international (ODI) series against Australia due to inflammation in his right ankle. The decision was confirmed in the morning of the first ODI after medical scanning carried out earlier in the week. Rabada, 30, will remain in Australia to start rehabilitation under the supervision of the South African medical team. Cricket South Africa said the injury was identified after Monday’s scan, revealing the extent of inflammation.
In Rabad’s absence, the ODI team of the left arm of Kwen Maphak was added to the ODI team. The 19 -year -old man impressed in the previous T20i series, ending as a leading goal and is considered a promising addition to the pace of Proteas shares. South Africa is also without Marco Jansen, who is still recovering from the left -thumb operation. The current options available on the tourist side include Lungi Ngidi, Nandre Burger and Maphak, with all the seams of Wiaan Mulder and Corbin Bosch also in the group.
