In a meeting to review preparations for the Attukal Pongala, it was decided to speed up the completion of the work ahead of the event to be held on March 3.
Mayor VV Rajesh presided over the meeting held at the City Corporation Conference Hall here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by heads of ministries and corporate councilors.
There were discussions on infrastructure works, including road tar, in connection with Pongala; availability of drinking water; vehicle parking facilities; sewage systems; activities carried out in connection with healthcare; and those to be held in coordination with various departments. It was decided to prepare an estimate of the work to be done and complete it without delay.
Deputy Mayor Asha Nath GS; Attukal Temple Trust President V. Sobha; Corporate Secretary Jahamgir S.; Deepak Dhankher, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) attended the meeting.
