Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma and state BJP president PVN Madhav unveiled the poster and logo for the Atal Sandesh Yatra (Atal-Modi Suparipaalana Yatra) on Saturday.
The Atal-Modi Suparipaalana Yatra is a nationwide event organized by the BJP from December 11 to 25 to spread former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s message of good governance as part of his birth centenary celebrations.
The event will begin in Dharmavaram in Anantapur district on December 11 and end in Amaravati on December 25, Vajpayee’s birthday.
Addressing the media, Mr. Srinivasa Varma said that Vajpayee left an indelible mark in the hearts of the people through his distinctive brand of good governance and ethical conduct in politics.
India made rapid strides during Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister, with the Golden Quadrilateral (National Highway) project being his most laudable achievement, Mr. Varma said, recalling the daring act of testing a nuclear weapon in Pokhran.
