
A two-day state level management festival “NIRBHIKAM 2K26” was organized by the Department of Commerce and Management Vidya Vikas First Grade College, Mysuru on 19th and 20th February.
KB Lingaraju, President, Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI), who inaugurated the event, noted that Mysuru is becoming a strong hub for technology, startups and e-commerce and that business and management students now have growing opportunities in areas such as social media management, e-commerce operations, fintech, banking and MNC sectors.
He encouraged students to take advantage of the training, networking and government-backed business programs offered through the Chamber of Commerce.
Joint Director (In-charge) District Industries Centre, Mysuru, T. Dinesh, spoke about the rapid AI-driven transformation and changing global employment patterns.
Referring to the growth of artificial intelligence, he emphasized that students need to develop technological competence, pursue relevant online certifications and bridge the skills gap to meet future market demands. He advised the students to make productive use of digital platforms, mobile applications and data resources to enhance employability and innovation.
The inaugural program was presided over by Kaveesh Gowda V, Secretary Vidya Vikas Educational Trust. College Dean Kiran Kumar Thoti and Principal Basheer Ahmed M were also present on the occasion.
The festival featured Best Manager, Management Quiz, Video Making, Treasure Hunt and cultural events which attracted around 350 students from various colleges across Karnataka. The event was coordinated by faculty coordinators Nayanika PV and Revathi G., a press release said here.
