At least 23 people in the Midwest and Southern US regions were killed after a deadly tornado swept an area that destroyed the buildings and overturned the car on the highway.
At least 14 dead people belonged to Kentucky, reported the Associated Press and added that they had lost their lives in serious weather. Governor Kentucky Andy Beshear warns that the toll can rise.
“Kentucky, we start with heavy news today that we have lost at least 14 of our people in the storm last night, but unfortunately this number will grow when we get more information. Please pray for all our disabled families,” he said in the X.
The local authorities in Kentucky’s Laurel County, located in the southeast state, reported that at least nine people died when the tornado touched the area.
Kentucky authorities said there was serious injuries when Twister torn over Laurel County late on Friday, causing the structures to fall apart and even overturned the car to the I-75.

The US National Meteorological Service has not yet confirmed that Tornado has hit areas, but local authorities warned it.

The latest Kentucky Storms were part of the meteorological system on Friday, which killed seven in Missouri and two in northern Virginia.

Sheriff’s office in Laurel County said rescuers were looking for survivors all night.
An emergency shelter was set up for the local high school and gifts of food and other needs came.
The storm was the latest natural disaster, which caused several deaths and widespread damage in Kentucky.
