
Aster DM Healthcare launched its eighth hospital in Kerala with the inauguration of its state -of -the -art facility for multiple specializations, Aster Mims Kasaragod. The 264-bed hospital built at the CRORE 190 GBP Award was inaugurated by the main Minister Pinaraya Vijayan in the presence of Azada Moopen, founder and chairman of Aster DM Healthcare and Karnataka Minister of Health and Family Care Dinesh Gunda Rao.
At his inauguration address, the main minister said that Aster has grown from one clinic in Dubai to an integrated healthcare network that people in India and GCC trust. The same standards of Excellency will now benefit from the inhabitants of the Caragod, he said. Minister of Karnataka Dines Gunda Rao said that the presence of Aster has strengthened the medical ecosystem in Kerala and in Kareni.

The hospitals extend over 2.1 square -foot lamp and employ 31 medical specialties and employ more than 600 people, of which 60 are globally trained doctors. It is the first hospital in the region to represent advanced diagnostic technologies, such as 1.5T MRI and 160-cut CT. The equipment also offers specialized services, including ECMO/ECL support, advanced heart and vascular interventions and hempsorption treatment with a focus on critical care, trauma, stroke and children’s emergency.
The hospital includes 44 ICU beds, 16 nicu beds, 7 main and 2 smaller operating theaters and reserved equipment for chemotherapy and dialysis. It also created 20 inpatient emergency departments with access to fast 24/7 ambulance intervention.
