A person who belongs to the planned caste, planned tribe or other class of back class has almost the same expenditure power as his counterpart to the general category in Assam, said the main minister of Hisant Biswa Sarma on Saturday (April 19, 2025).
The feeling of the latest data on the consumption of households published by the Ministry of Statistics and the implementation of the program attributed the “lowest inequality in the lowest consumption” of the unconditional society, which is assumed by Srimant Sankradev, Neo-Vishanite Saint-Reformer of the 15th 16th century.
“Thanks to his learning, Assam has the lowest inequality of consumption today. In other words, a general category in the state has the same purchasing power as a person SC/ST/OC,” he said.
According to the Ministry of West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, Assam follows in this order as equal states. Under Kerala, Gujarat, Pandjáb and Rajasthan are among the most unseen states.
The data have shown that people belonging to the SC and CITC categories have seen the greatest reduction in the unevenness of consumption in rural and urban areas in the last decade. However, the average expenditure on the general category was at least 10% per month more than other classes.
There was no gap of consumption among the general category and STS in Assam. The SCS expenditure gap was 1.01 times, while the OSC had 0.01 times more expenditure than people of the general category.
The data revealed that the person of the general category in Kerala spent 1.58 times more than SC, 1.42 times more than the person ST and 1.24 times more than the person of the municipality.
The numbers also pointed out that Gujarat is the most unusual for Haryana for SCS and Pandjab for STS.
